The Arena Aquatic Centre has an Accessible Pool Hoist. This hoist can move people up to 150kg and uses a sophisticated lifting system, which increases safety of the user when entering the water.
This means we have increased the opportunity for those wishing to use the Aquatic Centre for recreation purposes on a regular basis. Swimming is widely regarded as one of the best forms of exercise due to the lack of impact on the body.
